Change

Why need to change? What is the meaning of change? This are the few question we always facing.
Change is something that presses us our comfort zone. It is destiny-filtered, heart grown, faith built. Change is inequitable; not a respecter of persons. Change is for the better or for the worst, depending on where you view it. Change has an adjustment period which varies on the indicidual. It is uncomfortable, for changing from one state to the next upsets our control over outcomes. Change has a ripping effect on those who won't let go. Change is not comforted by the statement 'just hand in there' but with the statement 'you can make it'. We don't grow in retreat, but through endurance. Change isn't fixed by crying, worrying or mental treadmiling. Change is won by victors not victims; and that choice is ours.

Change is awkward - at first. Change is a muscle that develops to abundantly enjoy the dynamics of the life set before us. Change calls own strength beyond anyone of us. Change pushes you to do your personal best. Change draws out those poised for a new way. Change isn't for chickens. Change does have causalties of those defeated. Change will cause us to churn or to learn. Change changes the speed of time. Time is so slow for the reluctant, and yet it is a whirlwind for those who embrace it. Change is more fun to do than to be done to. Change seeks a better place at the end and is complete when you realize you are different.

Change is measured by its impact on all who are connected to it. Change is charged when you are dissatisfied with where you are. Change doesn't look for a resting - place; just the next launching point. Change is only a waste to those who don't learn from it. Change happens in the heart before it is proclaimed by our works. Change chaps those moving slower than the change itself. If you can change before you have to change, there will be less pain. Change can flow or jerk, depending on our resistance to it. Change uses the power invested in the unseen to reinvent what is seen. Change is like driving in a fog - you can't see very far, buy you can make the whole trip that way.

Pixiu is a legendary animal in the Chinese folklore. He was the ninth son of Dragon King. Legend had it that Pixiu survived by eating Gold, Silver and other caluable gemstones. He was also the pet of Jade emperor. One day, he ate too much and shitted at the wrong place. Jade emperor was very angry and hit his buttocks hard; as a result he was unable to defecate after that.

Traditionally, Pixiu appears in twenty six designs. Big mouth, big stomach, with no asshole, and cannot defecate. Chinese believe that it can be used to accumulate wealth, protect home and avoid evil spirits.

Chap Goh Mei

On the fifteenth day of Chinese New Year, technically the final day of the festival, is a day knows as Chap Goh Mei. In the Hokkien dialect, Chap Goh Mei simply means "the 15h night of Chinese New Year". Aside from being tagged as the last day, Chap Goh Mei is also known as the Chinese Valentine's Day. On a celebratory point of view, this night sees the gathering of family members as they sit down to a meal together. Offerings and prayers are also held on a grand scale on this particular night.

One of the fun activities that take place on this auspicious night includes the throwing of oranges into the sea by these young maidens. It is without a doubt, the most popular and colorful moment in the history of Chap Goh Mei. It is believed tht by throwing tangerines into the sea, these young girls would find themselves a good husband. For many, the act of throwing tangerines into the sea also signifies that women are availabe for marriage. It is also said that if someone else who sees the floating tangerine in the water and picked it up, that generally menas that the single who threw it would be able to find a good spouse.

Hakka Lui Cha


Hakka origin practises the tradition of having Hakka Lui Cha on the 7th day of Chinese New Year, preferably served with 7 types of vegetables. The name of this dish is not really "thunder tea" (as interpreted literally) but insteda, it means "ground tea". The way of making the base for the soup is to grind the ingredients using a branch off the guave tree into powder. however, the modern life, to make it easy way. (using a blender)

History of Yee Sang


According to Chinese legend, the goddess Nu Wa spent six days creating animals out of mud, while on the seventh she created humanity.


Ren Ri, the day of Humankind, is correspondingly celebrated on the seventh day of Chinese New Year. To celebrate this day, the Chinese enjoy a special dish comprising seven symbolic delicacies which we know as Yee Sang.


When Yee Sang is eaten, the ritual is to toss the mixed ingredients high in the air with a shout of Loy Hey" which literally means to 'move upwards'. It is symbolic of the wish for our fortunes to rise and expand during the forthcoming year.

Which one would you choose?(only one) 1)the one who loves you OR 2)the one who you love?

This is always a question for all women? can anyone also help to find the psychological reason behind each option???

I would chose the one who loves me, because at least that answer is more certain, The question doesn't explicitly state that I am going to be with this person forever, and even if I were, it does not say that I am married or otherwise bound to him/her in anyway. So I think you could have much better teamwork in this situation.

If I were with the person who loved me, perhaps I too would either love him/her from the start, or perhaps overtimes, I would grow to love them back. But even if I didn't, I know that I could always count on this person to be there for me if I needed them. I would also be more apt to help this person out as well, because they obviously intend me no harm and have only my best interests in mind, so I would naturally have some concern for their best interests as well.

Many people view success in terms of power, wealth, or fame. This is not the true success that a lot of us strive for and accomplish everyday. As a matter of fact, I haven't worked for years. It's not that I've retired, it's just that I love what I'm doing. My definition of work - anything I'm doing when I'd rather be doing something else.

The first; is to change your attitude to work.
The second; is to guide your work efforts into activities you love doing. The best way to be employed is to achieve the things you enjoy achieving. That way it's not work.

We've all been told or heard at some point in our lives that if you truly believe something - have faith that it will happen - it will happen. Now I know a lot of people don't completely accept that idea and then there are those who say they practice it - but really don't proactive it - they just think they do. Then are those who truly proactive Believing and have tremendous success. Ever wonder why or how they do that? There are a number of steps involved in the Practice of Believing - and you really need to have it all in place before this Proactive of Believing can help you achieve your goals.


Some Background
Before I get into how to develop the practice of believing I think it's important to give you a little background. Rather than give you a list of famous quotes I thought it would be more helpful to look at some concrete information that validates the notion that what you believe is what you will get. Most scientists who have examined the power of prayer and how beliefs impact a person's health agree _ that a person who believes they are sick and going to die will not fare as well as someone who believes he or she can recover and will survive - the latter usually go on to live a healthy lifestyle. Today in New York City - doctors at Sloan-Kettering cancer center are teaching cancer patients the power of positive thinking and how their beliefs will impact their chances of survival.


Since the turn of the Century (2000 and forward) researchers have begun to take a closer look at the impact the state of a person's mind has on their health and life. Those that have completed their studies have found that what we think and the state or our mind have a direct impact on our life, reality and health.


What You Believe is What You Get!

What you believe is what you get! I think that about sums it up. Now I know some of you may not accept that - but here's what happens when you believe something. If you believe that relationships are difficult and require a lot of work - then you'll only attract people who Will make the relationship difficult or force you to put a lot of work into it. More importantly - if you worry about something - you basically believe the worst and you'll likely get the worst. That doesn't happen all of the time and there is a reason for it not happening all of the time. Even though you worry - a small part of you is hopeful that you'll have a positive outcome and thus a complete disaster is often avoided. However, if you were to only worry and think of the worst at all times - never being hopeful - then you could be setting up yourself for a massive disaster.


But there is more to believing than just creating beliefs. Having positive beliefs is the first step toward creating a positive and successful life. Believing is something completely different. Here's an and example: You may have positive beliefs about money; you may have a belief that there are plenty of ways to make money. But if you don't believe that you will make money - you won't make the amount that you are hoping for. Still confused? Let's try to clear it up.


A belief is the way you feel about something - it's deeply rooted and if I asked you a question about it you'd have an answer. Believing something is trusting that what you want can and will happen. There is not a single doubt that it will happen - you completely trust and know that it will happen. Many people I speak to are missing this element in their daily lives. They'll do all of the other work that is necessary to achieve their goals - but they can't get this element of believing into their system.


How to Practice Believing
In many ways we've been raised to not believe. If you can't see it - it's not real - that's what we're taught. But believing is vital to our survival and success. If we could only believe that everything would work out and trust that what you want can and will happen - you'd have remarkable results. your life would change in ways you never thought possible. But for some reason - most people just can't believe that things will workout for them. They look at past results and judge their future on those results.

Let me ask you a few simple questions: Do you believe, without a doubt, that you can and will have everything that you want in life?

Do you believe without a doubt that you will be guided to the right situation at the right time - no matter what you will get to where you want to be in life?

Do you believe, without a doubt, that there is always a way to achieve your goals - you just have to find it?

If you answered no or maybe to any of the above questions - you don't believe - and therefore won't get to where you want to be.

Believing requires this complete trust that everything will workout. That you will do your part in finding solutions while trusting and knowing that you can and will get what you want out of life.

Here's an example of believing that most of us can relate to on some level. If you have a child or if a friend or a relative has a newborn child - then think about that child for a moment. Think about the earliest time that you saw that child. Remember when it couldn't even feed itself or make a sound. It had no motor coordination and didn't really recognize things very well.

Now assuming this was a healthy child - When it was at that stage - did you or it's parent - ever doubt that it would learn to walk? then answer is no. Everybody was convinced; everybody believed that the child would learn to walk.

That's the kind of belief I'm talking about that's needed to achieve your goals. You have to believe that things will workout - no doubts - just trust in yourself, your inner powers and the powers that be - that everything will workout.

So how do we get to that level?

First of all you have to get there by taking small steps. Start setting small goals - even with things you know will happen - and then trust and let go - see what happens. You could do this when you're driving - trust that you'll get to work on time and have as easy commute. See what happens after a week of doing this. If you misplace your keys - tell yourself you know where they are and then trust that you'll find them at the right time. Let's go - do something else for a while and see what happens. If you're not sure about a decision you have to make - think of all the possibilities - then tell yourself that you're making the right decision and let go - forget about making the decision. After a while you'll naturally think about it again - and you'll make your decision easily. The key is to trust and let go - sometimes you have to distract yourself so you don't worry. Worry is the opposite of trusting and believing - it's saying I don't believe so I have to worry - because by worrying I can make it better - but you can't. So get busy - distract yourself and see what happens.

Is suggest you start small so that you develop this practice. Because when the big decisions need to be made you'll believe that you can and will do what you need to do and achieve your goals.

This process is so simple yet so powerful - but it takes time to develop the habit. I've been doing it and teaching it for years - and you know what - sometimes I do slip up and have to remind myself of this basic fundamental process. This practice of believing is vital to your success - without it everything else you do will be pointless in the end.



Practicing A Positive Lifestyle

Let's face it most of us would love to live a life where everything just seems to go at a nice fluid pace with little or no interruptions or few setbacks. This would be great - and it can be done if you start practicing a positive lifestyle.


So what exactly is a positive lifestyle? This involves looking at things a little differently.It requires that you see and understand the positive aspects of people and situations - instead of just focusing on the negative aspects.

Too often we get caught up with the negative opinions, attitudes, actions and thoughts of those around us - and in the end we create a negative lifestyle that leaves us unhappy, depressed, hopeless and angry.

So in order to avoid falling into this trap or in order to move from a negative lifestyle to a positive lifestyle - we need to begin changing the way we see things and change the way we interact with each other.

So when you're talking to other people - change your negative statements to positive comments. Some people may think your crazy - but a lot of people will actually start to see things differently. You'll actually get them to stop being so negative - and without knowing it - those very same people will begin looking at things in a more positive way. This may not happen the first time, and it may not happen all the time - but the more you do it - the more often you'll get them to focus on the positive events.

Focus on the Good Qualities

Often people will do things to make you uneasy, upset you, anger you - or just simply get under your skin. When this happens - it's okay to initially react - but after you've calmed down - look at the positive qualities in that person. Too often we focus solely on a person's negative qualities - and forget the good things. I've actually had people tell me that they can't think of anything nice about their co-workers, bosses, mother in-law, etc. This is a little hard to believe and what it shows is that the person is so caught up in living a negative lifestyle they can't see anything positive in anyone. It's live living in darkness for so long that now they forgot what impact light could have.

By looking at the positive you get your mind to shift it's attention - it now beings to see things differently and thus sends a different message and different energy to your subconscious. This new positive energy and positive message is picked up by your subconscious, your spirit and your higher power - they all bring positive situations to you. It's that old saying: "what goes around comes around." You focus on the positive in other people and other people will see the positive qualities in you. You focus on the good things in other people, and other people will see the good things in you and you'll attract positive situations in your life.

I'm not asking you to be a doormat and I'm not asking you to simply look at the positive qualities when someone is being unkind to you. Instead, I'm suggesting that you take a look at the positive qualities in addition to everything else. Don't neglect the positive qualities that a person has. Here's an example: Let's say you're taking your son or daughter to a basketball game. You're in the line and the guy behind you, who is also with his child, starts pushing. You ask him to back off and he gets angry - perhaps start yelling and screaming - all of this is taking place in front of your child and his child. Finally things calm down - you go to your seat and he goes to his. Perhaps you're still angry and silently cursing him as you sit in your chair. But can you see anything positive in that person? Most people would say no. But at least he was trying to spend some time with his kid. At least he took time out of his schedule, just like you did and took his kid to a game - just like you did. You don't know anything else about the person - but you just found some positive qualities.

When you do this you also release the anger and unhappiness - because you get your mind to focus on something positive instead of something negative - thus creating more positive energy. Try doing this with people you know and don't know.

The Eleven Skills of Leadership

1) Getting and Giving Information

Getting and giving information is probably the competency required of leaders. If you cannot communcate effectively, then no other leadership skill will compensate for this lack. First and foremost, you must be able to exchange information effectively and accurately.
There are three distinct aspects to communication, or getting and getting information: Getting it, retrieving it and giving it.

Getting Information
When getting or receiving information, you may be watching for a variety of clues to gather meaning: not only verbal or written information, but nonverbal behvior as well. If you are not careful, facts will be forgotten or distorted. This is because both the individual sending and the person receiving the information may unintentionally obscure the message.

There are two ways you can insure that the information you receive will not be forgotten or distorted:
  • Take note. Always write down key information received.
  • Repeat back what you think you heard the person say.

While you may think you understand what you think you heard, you may in fact have gotten it totally wrong. Clarify and verify! In a communication exchange, the sender controls what and how is said, or the content of the message. The recipient controls what is heard and the feedback given.

Giving Information

When giving information, use all five senses whenever possible. In addition,

  • Speak clearly.
  • Use language that everyone understands.
  • Vary your tone and pace.
  • Move from the general to the specific.
  • Use visuals
  • Eyeball the listener.

What is a Leader

At the most basic level, a leader is someone who leads other. But what makes someone a leader? What is it about being a leader that some people understand and use to their advantage? What can you do to be a leader?


A leader is a person who has a vision, a drive and a commitment to achieve that vision, and the skills to make it happen. Let's look at each of those in detail.


The Leader's Vision


A leader has a vision. Leaders see a problem that needs to be fixed or a goal that needs to be achieved. It may be something that no one else sees or simply something that no one else wnats to tackle. Whatever it is, it is the focus of the leaders attention and they attack it with a single-minded determination.



Leadership Skills


Beyond the personal traits of a leader, there are specific skills someone must master if they wan to be a leader.



  • Effective communication - it's more that just being able to speak and write. A leader's communication must move people to work toward the goal the leader has chosen.

  • Motivation - a leader has to be able to motivate everyone to contribute. Each of us has different "buttons". A leader knows how to push the right buttons on everyone to make them really want to do their best to achieve the leader's goal.

  • Planning - the leader has a plan to achieve the goal. He/she doesn't get too bogged down in the details, that's what managers are for, but rather uses a high level plan to keep everyone moving together toward the goal.

Work Hard vs Work Smart - Part 2

I have often reflected on these words, realizing that in today's world, just working hard won't always get you to where you want to be.
As I've considered this advice, I have come up with some tenets that will always hold true to the spirit of 'working hard, and working smart.'

Work Hard
When at work, give your employer your full attention. Working hard also means working honestly. If you are getting paid for working 56 hours a week, you need to be wholly 'present' for those 56 hours. While on the job, do you spend an unresonable amount of time away from where people can reach you, on the internet, taking coffee breaks, etc? If so, can you really expect to become truly successful at your job? Working honestly also creates good karma, which I'll touch on again.

If you aren't employed, work hard at keeping what comes into the house. I stay at home, and don't earn a paycheck, but that doesn't mean that I don't work hard. I do work hard, and my work has value. Besides raising children to be contibuting members of society, I save money aggressively by constantly learning to be economical, incest that saved money in diverse ways, and am steadily increasing our family's net worth. Despite not being the family breadwinner, I work hard at being successful, and at gaining wealth.

Work Hard vs Work Smart

It's always a big question in the industry Where I am working, or is it a common phenomenon? People, who do work as a duty or rather as an obligation try to drag it till the end and end up in the swirl or procrastination. That embarks a journey or crib club....

If you work for what you believe, its not hard work! You will consider it hard work when it becomes an obligation. Alas, we don't find entrepreneurs in every day of life, at least to the nonobservant eye. Probably they are the same people whom we tease as hard workers or the one who don't find time to take for themselves. What we may not realize is that their enjoyment lies in work. A typical phenomenon I observe is that people believe that they work for their ends and there exists a fine line between personal enjoyment and professional work. Ask what effects personal enjoyment? I have strong objection to people who resign themselves to 12 hours of long work the moment they enter work station. Neither do I have respect for canteen mongers, or the shirkers who pretend to work only when their boss lands at their cubicle.
One should have a balaned approach to work. Even if I love my job, there are certain finer aspects for which I pay attention to. Probably it;s my favaorites music, games, food, a morning workout at the at gym. that's where smart work comes in. Engaing mind and body in what we love to do every momeny. As my boss quotes often, "if you got no mood to work, don't work lady. Coz u will spend more then 8 hours miserably doing what you can finish off in a couple of hours!" Qute true indeed! In this high tension world, where struggle for life is quite evident in every walk of life, one should realize oneself to the full potential. Being smart, managing priorities, intelligently balancing different aspects of life, being focused on career and emotional balance helps in a big way!.
